Rightblogistan meltdown?
October 3rd, 2006 by sirkowskiJohn Cole has basicaly changed side for a while. But today, each for different reasons, wingnut bloggers are feeling rebellious.
The Commissar is voting Dem because of Iraq (do I really need to explain what’s wrong with Iraq?). Allahpundit at HotAir is pissed off that Bill Frist would give amnesty to the Taliban and welcome them to the Aghan government (the British are also negotiating a truce with the Talibans). I can’t tell why Ace of Spade is done with the GOP, his blog ain’t loading. CIA got to him?
Then in the group of those who’ve had enough but might still be willing to bend-over, Ace at Polipundit jumps on Bill Frist too (who doesn’t?). Decision ‘08 wants Rumsfled out. Bay Buchanan wants the GOP Congress leadership to step down over the PedoGate scandal. So does Micheal Reagan.
I’m not getting excited. We’ll see if this sticks or if it goes the same way of the War on Terror (down the toilet). I had even more links, but I had trouble retracing my steps over all the stuff I read today. So feel free to share.
Update: I was right to be suspicious, Ace of Spades is going to bed over and take it up the ass again.

Ace of Spades is now loading — likely he got hit with a huge amount of traffic.
This is huge — and not quite the October surprise that Karl envisioned!

[…] It is also worth noting that a fair number of wingnuts are so pissed off at the GOP that they are threatening to vote for Democrats in November. I’d personally be happy if they simply decided to sit this one out. […]

We’ll see. Like the Harriet Miers and Katrina things, it will only go on as long as the GOP fails to provide consistent talking points.
The funny thing is… they never really lived down Katrina, and Miers… well. The equivalent solution would be a collective falling-on-swords, which I don’t think they’re about to do - at least not without some “help.”
Which means this could go on for a long, long time, doesn’t it!?

the whole pedophile thing is a well-timed distraction from the Military Commissions Act which is infitely more important. IF you don’t know about it, learn about it.

medicis: I agree. And, as fate would have it, I am in the process of finishing my research on the MCA. Look for it in an upcoming thread.

Ace is such a dork. What he’s saying is, “it’s OK that Frist said we ought to include the Taliban in the Afghan government. It was only a trial balloon, and it got shot down. And I assume that Pelosi is planning to do the same, even though she’s never mentioned it. And, of course, she’s not even a Senator anyway, so there’s no real reason for me to even mention her.”

Looks like some kind of battered wife syndrome for the stupid.
“I got punched in the face again by my party. But if I’m loyal enough, eventually the party will love me for what I am.”

My party said it was sorry for abusing me. I think I’ve finally changed it.
