Petition Drive to nominate Bush for Nobel Peace Prize
April 1st, 2006 by Dank HagnyThank God for the right-blogosphere. If it weren’t for conservative blogs and organizations like PajamasMedia, the only window into the freedom-enhanced utopia that Bush has given as a selfless present to the people of Iraq and the Middle East would be the MSM. The MSM, of course, has a vested interest in seeing America lose in the Global War on Terror, thereby denying the American people access to the truth about the wholesale liberation of the Iraqi people.
Where liberals and the MSM see car bombs we in the right blogosphere see free men and women who have cast off the donkey-cart technology of the 19th century and embraced the modern era like champions. Sure, an Iraqi could deliver a car bomb in a donkey-cart but they don’t - they choose not to. Why should they choose a donkey-cart when in a healthy capitalist Democracy a new car loan is just a few signatures away. I think Rummy said it best: in a free Iraq people are free to make choices - for better or worse or for good or evil. That’s what a democracy looks like.
Few things are more important to a true American than the 2nd Amendment which mandates that all Americans must maintain a well-lubricated armory of assault weapons. There is a constant struggle between the forces of good and light on the right within the US and the America-hating crybabies on the left who despise freedom and independence. Liberals can’t face the fact that guns = freedom.
In Iraq we find our natural brothers and sisters taking the US Constitution’s 2nd Amendment seriously by stocking EACH AND EVERY HOUSEHOLD with at least an AK-47 and in many cases Rocket Propelled Grenades or RPGs - tools for freedom that the liberals have long since stripped from our own arsenal of freedom here in the United Statesl, leaving a gaping hole in the security of our homeland.
The Iraqi people understand peace and freedom and are reveling in it each and every day while they build their new Iraq - free from distractions like clean water, electricity, terror and tyrany. Bush, in turn, understands the Iraqis. Just a little more than four years ago Bush was pushed into this war against his will but he swallowed his pride and forged ahead spreading a message of peace and freedom wherever the US military deigns to cleanup: a free, safe and politically reign.
This rosy scenario didn’t happen in a vacuum and it most certainly didn’t happen with any help from the do-nothings in Old Europe.
In light of this I think that we need to aggressively lobby for George W. Bush to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Shining light the light of freedom into the dark spiderholes of Saddamist evil has placed freedom on the march throughout the world.
Bush is nothing but a humble man. He isn’t seeking recognition for a job well-done. He’s like nothing better than to hang up his spurs and return to Crawford to run his literacy clinic for poor Mexican children.
He’s a natural teacher and a natural leader. The best and the brightest fall into step behind him.
If you do any work as an activist this year, let it be towards securing Bush his proper place in history in the pantheon of true statesmen and men of peace who were recognized and rewarded for their own work in the name of freedom.
Our refrain: Give Bush the Nobel Peace Prize. Sing it loud, sing it strong.

As usual, you’ve taken the most chowderheaded possible approach to an issue. Bush should not get a Peace Prize. The Nobel committee should start awarding a War Prize, and Bush should get a dozen of them for each year he’s been in office.
If Lykurgos had been a man of peace, he would not still be a household name today, nearly three millenia after his death. And how many people would still remember the name of Erigyius, had it not been for his military prowess?
George W. Bush has answered humankind’s highest calling; he has joined that short list of great men who aspired to aggrandize themselves by sending young men into battle. And I will not stand by idly while you cheapen his legacy by calling him a man of peace.

My compliments to LA for his April Fools Day edition of the blog: I like the red (state?) border, and the Captain America logo. Did y’all have to pay anything for the conservative dating service ad?
I guess that its SGO who did the actual work. My question for him would be: where can I find a decent information source for editing WordPress blog presentation? I’ve managed a few changes on my own (primarily a switch to Times New Roman font), but I’d like to widen the presentation and change some of the colors.

[…] Even more than the Iraq war, we should all line up behind Nobel Laureate Bush and demand that Hamas immediately arm. If they continue their destructive path of disarmament, we will have no option but unleash the powers of hell on Hamas. Only through a prolonged occupation can we remove the threat to my personal firearm collection and assure that the Hamasis enjoy their God-given right to automatic weapons. […]

Looks damned good LA-sgo. And most of the new posts even make a bit of sense for a change. I’d keep Hansen, or anybody else, that would use the description “chowderheaded position”.
Maybe go back to the old format, like, NEXT April Fool’s Day?
Great effort anyway…..
